Some Informations from Brazil

Brazilian Nation

Continental country, with great regional contrasts, where the sun shines stronger. Earth of the Palm trees where sings the thrush of a cheerful and hospitable people, of the soccer, of the beaches, of the carnival. A 500 year-old child!!!

Brazilian Areas

Brazil is the place where the biodiversity is made present. So that if already understood best and studied, IBGE divided the territory in areas with different characteristics, formed by States with similar characteristics.

Brazilian Capitals

Each State possesses a called Municipal district of capital, with city category, that bases the State Government. They have the capacity to offer more sophisticated services and they influence the other Municipal districts of the State. Some extravasate the state limits and they become known as Regional Metropolises. Another command the national urban net, influencing the Regional Metropolises and all the other Municipal districts. They are the National Metropolises. In Brazil two exist: São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Brazilian States

Brazil is divide in 26 States and 1 Federal district. States are the most important units of the political-administrative organization of Brazil and Federal district is the Federal Government's headquarters.

Brazilian Municipal Districts

States become separated in Municipal districts, that are created or extinguished every 4 years. They have to smallest importance in the political-administrative organization of Brazil and they are composed by the City-thirst, that most of the time gives name to him and where he/she is the City hall, and for Districts, that have the category of Town and they don't possess political and financial autonomy.
